BOUDIOR

Boudoir. I agree, the word is derived from the word bouder, pouting. So literally a 'pouting room'. But also: an elegant room for the lady of the house in which she can withdraw. And that is where I come from. Clothing in the form of a room, a private room where you can celebrate your femininity and by extension your personality, your humanity. If necessary, to pout in.

The hand-embroidered texts are also reminiscent of the handiwork that women did in those boudoirs in the 18th century. The tassels also refer to the sensual and warm, soft interior of a boudoir. It is a meeting place between women, a space where others are welcome. A place where one can celebrate, mourn or just let time disappear.

Every woman has her own boudoir, her own elegant room.
